Medical practice cleaning for medical, dental and therapy practices

In a medical practice, cleaning is not a question of looks but part of hygiene. The hygiene plan defines which surfaces are treated how often and with what. A cleaning company has to know this, otherwise it becomes a risk.
We have been cleaning medical practices in the Hochtaunus and Wetterau districts for years. Our staff are specially briefed for this area and work according to your hygiene plan, not their own.
The three zones of a medical practice
Treatment rooms
Here cleaning and disinfection are kept separate. Surfaces close to patients, couches, shelves, handles and controls are cleaned with disinfectant according to your plan. We work with a color coded microfiber system, so cloths from the treatment area never end up in other rooms. We wash and process all cloths and covers ourselves on our own company premises after use.
Waiting room and reception
The area your patients see first, and at the same time the area with the most hand contact. This includes chairs, tables, door handles, counters, card readers, the play corner and the magazine rack. On request we clean upholstered furniture regularly with spray extraction.
Washrooms and side rooms
Patient toilets, staff toilets, changing rooms, lab and storage. In our experience, washrooms in medical practices need cleaning more often than in normal offices.
Glass surfaces
Interior glass doors, partitions and mirrors are part of the ongoing cleaning. We clean the windows on a schedule, usually two to four times a year. Details on the glass cleaning page.
What we work with
We use cleaning and disinfection products from Ecolab. Dosage and contact time are documented and binding for our staff. If you specify a particular product because it is in your hygiene plan, we use it.
On request we keep a cleaning log that you can show during an inspection by the health authority.
Regular staff and complete documentation
In a medical practice, changing staff is a risk, because every new person first has to learn the hygiene plan. That is why the same specially briefed staff look after your practice on a permanent basis. A regular team supervisor is responsible for your practice, checks regularly and briefs every stand in herself beforehand.
You can reach this team supervisor directly. She has her own direct phone line and email address. If you notice something after office hours, write two lines and it reaches the right person. On working days we reply within 24 hours. On request we keep a cleaning log for each visit that you can show at an inspection. Once a month you receive a list of the services provided, and once a quarter a structured quality inspection with a report. We record complaints and damage digitally with date, area and photo.
Billing is monthly. You can order extra services informally, for example a deep cleaning while the practice is closed or upholstery cleaning in the waiting room.
Cleaning without disrupting your practice
We almost always clean medical practices outside consultation hours, so early in the morning or in the late afternoon. On days with long consultation hours we move the visit. This flexibility is why we use fixed teams and not changing staff.
Which practices we work for
General practice, dental practices including prophylaxis and X-ray rooms, physiotherapy and occupational therapy, alternative practitioners, radiology, ophthalmology, dermatology and psychotherapy. Smaller day care facilities and medical supply stores are also among our clients.
Cleaning and disinfection are not the same
This is where most mistakes happen in medical practices. Cleaning removes visible dirt. Disinfection reduces germs, but only works if the surface is clean beforehand and if the contact time is actually observed. Wiping a dirty surface with disinfectant achieves nothing, and a surface that is wiped dry after twenty seconds is not disinfected.
That is why our staff work with documented dosage and documented contact time. Both are set out in the service specification, which is based on your hygiene plan. If your practice specifies a particular product, we use it, even if we normally use a different one.
What determines the effort in a medical practice
The effort depends less on the square meters than on the number of treatment rooms and the level of hygiene. A dental practice with four treatment units, a prophylaxis room and X-ray means different effort than a physiotherapy practice of the same size with two treatment rooms.
What matters is the number of surfaces close to patients, the schedule, any documentation requirements and cleaning outside consultation hours. We look at your practice and work it out for you, free of charge and without obligation.
Frequently asked questions about medical practice cleaning
Do you work according to our hygiene plan? Yes. Your hygiene plan is the basis. We transfer it into our service specification, so every cleaner knows how each surface is treated.

How is the processing of cleaning textiles handled? We use a color coded microfiber system. Each color is assigned to one area. After use we wash and process all textiles ourselves on our own company premises. Nothing is washed out and reused in the practice.

Can you keep a cleaning log? Yes. On request we document every visit with date, area and the person who did the work.

How much does cleaning a medical practice cost? That depends on the size, the number of treatment rooms and the schedule. A practice with five visits a week means different effort than a therapy practice with two visits a week. We inspect free of charge and send you a written quote.
